Dear Katie and Cameron

I wrote this for the children of my friend Wendy and her husband. They both died this past week from Covid 19. They both had chosen not to get the vaccine which is unfortunate. They died three days apart, she was 50 and he was 60. How many more loved ones will we have to watch die before social media stops with the lies and people start listening to their doctors. Please people get your vaccine and spare your children this heartache. Dear Katie and Cameron Another sunset has come and gone My heart laments from dusk till dawn With the sunrise I’ll kneel and pray For strength and faith to guide your way May God’s light shine down on you And give you peace in all you do I know their death was premature But with each other you will endure Live your life and make them proud They’ll see you both in any crowd Just keep in mind as they depart They both will dwell within your heart Don’t say goodbye, it’s not the end They’re up with God, family and friends You’ll see them again so have no fear Your Mom and Dad still love you dear

Wonderful message and poem through a most tragic situation. When will people ever learn, Mark? I have a very close friend who still refuses to get the vaccination. He says he's not against vaccines, but just does feel like he needs it. I can't convince him, so I've stopped trying, but I did my best, and if he gets the virus and dies from it, I'll have done everything I could.

My family and friends are still split on the vaccine, but I will keep trying as best I can to help shed some light. Unfortunately it's taking death to convince most people.
