Debra Young Poet Iambic Pentameter

Dear John

It was just a moment in time
When our eyes crossed paths
It brought a smile to our hearts
But we knew it would not last

You walk me to my car
And on the way, held my hand
You brought up emotions within me
That I did not understand

I questioned my motives
For I knew they were not right
I also knew the feelings were one sided
This made me see the other side

John is a very religious, very open man
He will always listen to you as well as be your best friend
Even though we had that one moment in time that I misunderstood
Our friendship will never end.
