Dear God

Dear God, it's me here, are you listening,
my heart is broken and my eyes are glistening.
Glistening with tears too big to hide,
I'm torn apart with fear inside.

Fear of losing such a precious love,
how would I live if there were no us.
To whom would I turn if she should leave,
living one day is so hard to concieve.

If anyone knows, surely you do,
dear God, these feelings are true.
Her love is my light in this world so dark,
she fills up my mind, my soul and my heart.

Never before have I felt such a need,
in the silence so still, I whisper a plea.
A plea for mercy, only you can give,
dear God, she's every reason I live.
