Dear Future

dear future.
I hope for happy times
I wish for smiling faces
no more darkness heal the blind
no more war just friendly races
time will tell what you have in store
from now until then and forever more
as future mistakes turn to past
the clock is turning way to fast
dear future lead the way
take my hand heal the pain
i hope for the girl of my dreams
even on those sleepless nights
i wish for laughter no more screams
warm feelings and no more fights
the wheel of time turns without consent
future to past and past to present
the sound of little feet on hardwood floors
my families bonds hold through rich and poor
may good friends prosper and hold true
dear future its up to you.
if you slam me down please help me through
dear future its up to you.
