A sweet metaphor lingers on your lips
A faint dream drifts in in your smile
I see your eyes close in painful sorrow
But your smile holds all your denial 

I'll hold your hand and wish for the best
Wipe away those tears that fall on rosey cheeks
I'll stand among the crowd beating my chest
I can fall to the ground and make it back up

Take my hand and I'll show you the way
Take my hand together we shall stay
Never forget who I am or why we're here
Because for you I will always be near

Happily ever after doesn't exist
But the to the future we will persist
Call on me when you're down
For in my heart you are profound 

A little rhyme for you and for me
For the present I can only see
And the future can only ever be
So don't worry my friend, just be free

Forever is only a day away
So today is when we will live 
Friend till the end
The end is what I will give

Hold my hand and we will jump in 
Forever and a day my kin
This is not a love song for a lover 
But indeed for another 

You'll fix me and I'll fix you
And then you can find someone new
I'll call to you, you won't be there
But that's okay we were once a pair

Words are easy to say
Emotions are an easy prey
For this I will have to pay
But that okay tomorrow is another day
