Dear Friend
Am I guilty for having discovered your secret treasure?
I don’t think so because it helped me be aware of your pain
Am I guilty for not noticing that you were going down?
Yes, because I have been blind
Thought that we were close enough
Thought that there was no bridge between us
Thought that you were like an opened book in front of me
Thought that you were strong enough to face
But you are just weak
Why have I been blind for so long?
I feel guilty because I should have noticed your distress
But don’t worry anymore for I am standing next to you
Let me give you my shoulders
For you to cry yours tears on it
Let me give you my ears
For you to confess your secrets
Let me give you the key of my heart
For you to hide your deepest secrets
Let me give you my hand
And help you cross the bridge standing between us
You don’t need to feel lonely anymore
Because whenever you feel sad
Whenever you feel down
Whenever you are afraid
Just call me and I will be by your side
For you are my dearest friend
