Dear December

December takes over with pride, 
Congruent with its icy reign.
Cold promptly gets into its stride, 
Settling in wintery domain. 

Time to peruse in white repose 
Seasons and life’s prompt change of scene - 
Let go of transient blues and lows, 
And welcome budding hues of green.
