Dear Aunt Josephine:

Shy, sweet, timid Aunt Josephine,
What has happened to you?
Once so adventurous.
Once so alive.
Living life simply for the ride.
Love, passion,
It was all there.
One unhappy ending, now
You’re so scared.

You run, you scream,
You cringe in the corner.
You sell out the young ones
Just for one more hour.
You’re crazy, psycho,
And totally unfair.

Why do you run from the past?
So afraid to point a finger?
Why’d you give up on life?
Why’d you give in to the strife?

I ask so many questions
Because you were once so nice.
