Dear Amber

Dear Amber
By Laura D

I thought i left it all behind
The sunshine in my mind
Time to unwind, please be kind
You may find a way to break away

I don't know the answers, my dear
The tears in your eyes still speak of fear
Cause Surely we've been through enough
Bleed if you want; I'm calling your bluff

Same goes for me I suppose
I know its not easy with all that you know
To leave it all behind in a blinding smile
If I never listen, would you stay with me a while?

Don't you see my countless fatal flaws?
You say I'm too pretty despite of it all
I wish you could see that I'm just like you
Broken and bruised, with all you've been through

See me in you where everything is new
Just look in my eyes in the way that you do
Cause I am not pretty; just a beautiful mess
And know you're the best; my wife I caress
