Dead People In the Bathroom

Dead People In The Bathroom Mama's in prison, Why ain't she here? There's dead people in the bathroom And a rat over there The water kept rising And there's no food anywhere There's dead people in the bathroom and I'm scared to go there Why are we still here Is it cause we black, and we poor? There's dead people in the bathroom I can't take much more The big folks is shouting And there's shooting here too There's dead people in the bathroom Mama I'm angry at you! Whose going to save me? I've been here for so long There's dead people in the bathroom And the stink is so strong There's dead people in the bathroom Did you hear what I said? Them rats in the gutter Are eating the dead Will they eat me next? There's nowhere to run There's dead people in the bathroom Will I soon be one? There's dead people in the bathroom And it's so hot today I wish that this nightmare Would just go away . . .

Outstanding, really. Susan, have no fear, God takes care of children like her and I get your concern. Pain comes to us all. I wonder at times how we survive. We all have inner strength and much power, this includes children..Huggs Panagiota.

Susan, this poem stunned me, and horrified me in the best of ways. I am intrigued and wish I had thought of this poem and the title myself!

Then I accomplished what I intended Caren. The little girl was real. I wish I knew how she is today. Thank you for commenting Caren. I truly appreciate your input. Blessings, Susan
