Dead In Love

In love with nothing at a time
Quietly searching to contrive
One situation to believe
I’m here to fade, I’m only me

In love with paintings in the sky
Silently dead until I close my eyes
Two pretty creatures in my heart
I’m here to end, I’m here to start

In love with everything that sees
Their silence is honest and we agree
Three perfect lovers in my mind
Each of them nothing that I’ve defined

In love with you because I am
My softest approach is out of hand
Four times to prove that I must leave
I’m here to fade, I’m only me

Unlove has frozen me inside
Quietly here to realise
Five years to timelessly recall
The one that I am has killed it all
