Pardon my ignorance but I have received no poetic training, can someone give me the correct cattegory for this style? Is Rhyme correct?
Thanks
I look through these trinkets You've collected since birth I'm left here to wonder Do they have any worth People didn't matter For them you had no use It was things you cared for people you gave abuse Your life partially lived Didn't end soon enough You created pain In the pursuit of stuff Dead as a doornail your things left behind Given away to others Now in death you are kind

Love the way you delivered this message - bam, bam, bam - maybe the only way to reach this type of personality (the living ones.) (every time I come back I have a hard time finding my place, but it is worth it.) ... CayCay

That happens a lot, I would rather be a minimalist and have the time money and energy to meet and greet people. In the end which matters more, the memories or the memoriablia. Good write my friend. You make me wonder with you words and it keeps me wanting more!

And so the story goes / of those / who horde a perishable treasure / the values they maintain / the standards by which measure / what gain have they then when they leave this wondrous earth / They even lose and leave behind priceless children that they birth.... Your poem rings so sadly true. Great write.

I do agree, however this fellow had no choice in the giving. Thanks for taking time to read my poem. Thanks for the welcome.
