Dead and Alive

Most of us are aware of the phrase, ' Kill em' with kindness ', to be sure. Because if true, I've died a thousand times, Yet that kindness has also been a cure. It's the ultimate, ' turn the other cheek ', Or even, catching all those flies with more honey. But does it cheapen the compassionate act, As some may view it as stupid or funny ? So whether giving or receiving this gesture, The underlying motive needs only to be clear. Because we're talking life and death now, Not just what someone wants to see or hear.
