Days Upon Days

I have spent days upon days,
In the serenity of my mind.
This is where reality cannot control,
                 What happens,("Which leaves it blind").
                                 I am not trapped,
Nor do I wish to go,
Where I reside,This place, I call my home.
                           Darkness will forever hold,
                                       Reality in its place,
                  But in my twisted world,
It's the darkness that cannot escape.
I don't feel the fear the shadow's cast,
                                Or the sorrow that follows,
                         In fears aftermath.
                    There is only peace
Between the dark and the light,
                                Love Truly prospers,
And on occasion; Life and Death,
                 Walk side by side.
