Days of Wonder
She believed she had faeries
at the bottom of her garden,
there beneath the lilacs
and the blossoms of the cherry.
The oldfolk said be wary,
and always ask for pardon
lest you go a walking
down the path to your misfortune.
They said don't forget the courtesy
of respecting your fae neighbors,
and the fragrance of the flowers
will perfume your days of wonder.
