Days of Confused

Confused of human nature, Unfathomable, in my eyes, What’s brewing in the world? Hate overflowing, under guise. Confused of human essence, A crutch of death and despair, What happened to our world? Love in drought, scraps to share. Confused if humans truly see, Soot of frenzy blocks our eyes, Appointments, dates and work, Can never silence children’s cries. Confused of our part in this play, I wipe the soot from my face, Saw our love screaming help, The rat race, depriving grace. Eclipsing truth is a paper bind, ‘Til sun and stars fail to shine, In time the human race will find, Hate and love both share a spine, He who chooses one destroys the other.

Very powerful pen Nicholas! I enjoyed reading your very sad but realistic piece. Yes, the world in which we live is in a lot of mess today. Very sad world indeed! We need lots of changes for sure.
