Days Gone By

That moment when you awake 
in the early morning haze 
You feel the need to reflect on 
the past in so many ways
With every passing hour
time is flying by
You start to reflect and 
often you cry
You look at your PRECIOUS 
blessings now grown and 
living their dreams
As tears fall down your cheeks
because years have flown
by it seems
You know in your heart that
they have listened to your
words of wisdom you shared
They love you for your dedication 
and that you truly care
GOD has been great in your
life without a shadow of doubt
There is good in this life that always
comes about
As you lay your head back
down to rest
You know in your heart that 
you have done your best
The circle of life will keep
going around 
Eyes begin to close and you
feel love in your heart
The sun will be rising soon
with a fresh new start
