Daylight Lust
Your standards make absolutely no sense to me
More often than not - lies and deceit roll off your teeth
I can't lighten our world 'cause I'm always in your dark
Forget your promises to me - forget making our mark
I'm barely good enough for daylight love in your eyes
A lot of times what we have you don't even realize
If you look around you'd see everyone whisper & stare
But only some days you act like you love me and care
Only some days do you seem to reciprocate
All other days you hate me so much the earth quakes
You stay in your world so it's easier to drown me out
So why calm me with the lies out of your mouth?
Don't be in my life if you're just trying to deceive
By showing me the fake you that I should believe
You're up and down - loving me different day by day
Don't enter my life if you have no intention to stay
There's something about you I can't quite grasp
Learn my lessons by dropping your imperfect past
Open up to me & on your part there will be no regret
But us creating something won't happen unless we let
Unless this is clarified as to what each other's goal is Create by laughing & loving each other hard - just live
There needs to be transparency and just as equal trust
Live and love even harder - Our Passionate Lust
