Daydream

Daydream
I dreamed of a day
Where wars didn't exist
And the monsters ran away

There was no anger
To poison us with hate
Sorrow did not hover
Burdening us with weight

We all walked together
United and free
Unknowing of problems
Sharing one identity

A world of plateaus
Without a hero in sight
For nothing came after us
No existence of fright

No reason to share
Stories of old
No trials to encourage
Those being told

If we never broke
We wouldn't evolve
Identical to all
With no mystery to solve

Each has their own story
Of being brought through a fire
Overcoming obstacles
Growing a little wiser

So I'll take all the crap
To fertilize my field
Developing a character
That time will reveal
