Day of Life
Life it brings wonderful things,
Sunlight which each new day brings,
The clouds roll by; a meadowlark sings,
a lovely melody. A distant bell rings.
Rain mists across the landscape
bringing forth new life. A seed, it springs
a sapling towards the sun's rays, it seeks.
A willow's leaves rustle in the breeze,
that's blowing gently through the trees.
Birds soar high through greyish clouds,
that mist upon a temperate ground.
Soon, night will come, and the moon
will rise. darkness will descend across
the skies. The day sleeps and the owl's
hoot, the raccoons play, and the night
critters creep across the land.
