Day Is Young

The day is young he said to me
Lead the life you live and be free
So I lived in that day
The world embraced me with warm and open arms
That day was young and well lived
Once that day was over
I then asked him
Now that this day is done
What was I to learn from it
The day is a memory
He said to me
To hold forever in your heart
You have learned that
In the passing of something great
Though you’ll be saddened by the loss
You will always have the warm memory in your heart
So the day may be young and will be over soon
Make the most of it and don’t regret
There is nothing to loose
