Day Has Pas'D

I woke before the dawn, and waited for your call, I felt the shivers on my skin, and I relived it all. The wind howled against the window pane, it damn near drove me insane. For whilst the rain came pouring free, I waited, and waited, just to see. I heard no tide, and saw no you, I didn't know just what to do. As minutes merged to hours, and the time slowly dragged by, I dared a sudden look, I looked up at the sky. I thought I heard your voice, but my mind has long since gone, by this time my morning was done. The midday sun was bleak, no warming for my skin. I took a chance on friends, dared to let one in. The day was bore 'til eve came by, I almost felt that I could die. But then one came across me, and made me smile, almost made my life worthwhile. I took a glance into the air, I know that you are there. As the night grows steadily cold, my unruly soul now feels old. I miss the times, that we once shared, I miss the us, before you were dead.
