Day Cycle Night

Sunrise. Red Skies.
Birds gleefully sing. 
Dew drops reflect light.
Brightness has overtaken the dark. 

Overhead, Sun Sits.
Burning the plains.
Warmth covers the land,
World is transparent and good.

Quickly- Light Falls
Orange fades black.
Sun hides its face,
Coldness dominates an unlit home. 

Blinded- Darkness Rules,
Shadows move quietly,
Sleep the only escape,
Just waiting for the next…
