Day At the Zoo
Excitement is building there is no time to spare
A trip awaits, I ponder what to wear
The kids are all dressed anxious to get out the door
Upon our arrival, we are met by a guide who lets us know what we have in store
We are reminded that we are their guests who greet us in their unique ways
First up, a pride of lions let out a roar, listen to what they say
Giraffes snacking on tree leaves look down and shake their heads as if to say hi
Chimpanzees leap from tree to tree almost like they can fly
Ever wonder what they think of us and why we are free
Think of what they sacrifice just to be on display for us to see
If they could talk what do you think they would say
We must be kind to all living things every day
