Dawn of a New Day
"So it’s the dawn of a new day,
A blank canvas, I would say
To dream and explore,
And broaden your life more
To find joy in this moment,
Or is it life’s torment
That you are looking to blot out,
So only happiness will come about
From decisions that we make,
And our dreams have a stake
That we will be emotionally secure,
Whatever we shall endure
For love can make a heart,
Just as it can tear it apart
Inflicting pain and remorse,
As people chose a different course
To find what is important for themselves,
And for us, to look inside ourselves
To see that space,
Which can never be replaced
Believe then that today is the first day of your life,
To fill your heart with new memories that are right
Covering the hole left behind,
When our hearts unwind
