Dawn Light

Sweet translucent glow
of pale moon light.
I will miss it so

This sky,brightening in the east,
full of pink promise,
natures' colour feast.

This dawn light,
not bright.
Muted pink and red,
glowing softly instead

The birds welcome soft light
slowly turning bright.
Colour bursting through sky,
birds,preparing to fly

Awoken in dawn light,
leaving the night.
What will this day bring?
Fresh colour ,rising

This golden sun,
fading pink and red,
golden yellow instead,
new day begun.

Pink promise,
red kiss.............
Dawn light I will surely miss.
I will wait another day
to see dawn light at play

This jewel of sky,
slowly turning,
sun burning,
burnished gold,
returning to nights fold.
Going down instead,
in a blaze of pink and red
