Dawn

Dawn

When the dawn of life does appear,
It is surrounded with happiness and cheer.
One passes the dawn in childish teasing;
Moments of glee spent in awakening.

After dawn as the sun rises,
Life is enriched and one desires,
There and then that time should stall
And dusk should never fall.

Time passes quickly, it doesn't forget;
As the sun rises, so shall it set.
That's how it is with all we are enjoying,
With us today and not forever lasting.

When night falls and all is dark,
Life's reality does show up so bleak and stark.
That's when one actually longs for,
To be able to see dawn again once more.
