David, I Just Heard

David, I just heard you'd started writing poetry, so it made my day to get your rhyming note - the first time in this school a note's been passed to me. I always wished a boy like you would like me too. You're smart and cute . I want for you to know I've also had my blue-green eyes on you! I like to dance. Do you? I think that we should meet. I bet that a great dancer you would be, and someone going far in life, for you're so sweet! Written by Andrea Dietrich for Michael Falotico's "Passing a Love Note" Poetry Contest (I imagine this scene when David was 13 and had just started his interest in poetry, and as he wrote in his bio, was also on his way to becoming a ballroom dancer!)

Andrea This is so sweet and charming. A delicately passionate and romantic write. Thank you for the great comment on my Never Give Up poem.

I do hope David received this note and quickly acted on it. And I hope you didn't see him wink at the cute little blond in the third row. Don't worry, though, she isn't half as cute as you are. Your Friend Hephzibah.

Wow this is quite the awesome write my friend! I really liked how you created an aura of being 13 again! I tried to do that but I don't think I pulled it off, at least nowhere near as good as you did! I like how you created a mutual interest in poetry, that's really cool! I really enjoyed your write that I have read this afternoon! I love your poem immensely, Andrea! Great Work!!
