You can never really grasp that you’re going to lose your parent, in my case, my Dad. He even mentioned it many times. He had had a defibrillator implant.. He had had several heart attacks. Watching him one day ... made me realize that my tall invincible Daddy wasn’t the same; but to imagine life without him, or imagine him actually dying was unconscionable.I thought I would never stop crying... until this message, “Daughter Cry No More.”

In Loving Memory of my Father, James Nathaniel Gelsey DAUGHTER CRY NO MORE I wasn't ready to let you go, but your departure from me, you knew, You said your goodbyes with such joy, I thought, again tomorrow, I'll be visiting you. You gave me your time, your food for thought, just like you did for all times, But you knew, and you tried to prepare me, hearing your heavenly chimes. I know that if you could have spared, tears falling to my floor, You would have said it with joy and gladness, Daughter, cry no more. It was the day before thanksgiving day, a day with you like no other, It was a day that brought such joy, such that I can never fully utter. Though tired you hid it well, the time spent a golden day If I had known it was our last time together, perhaps I could have said to you all I ever wanted to say. Your smiles are of eternal joy, and with wink of your eye forever more, Your one wish that is clearly said in your eyes, "My darling daughter, Cry no more."
