Data Patch
A patch of data came my way
Time stamped from yesterday
Some bits suggest it is true
My mail insists that it is new
So what do I know
It is a letter to me and it has
A message for me from the past
It's subject has great appeal
But before I break the sacred seal
What do I know
Is it virus or is it trojan
How do I know where it's been
Am I on a salesman's list
Or has it been hacker kissed
What do I know
Despite the titles wit
I don't remember writing it
The moment of truth comes to call
I don't remember yesterday at all
So what do I know
Opening it I smiled as I read
Just remembering in my head
"From past me, I wanted to say
To the future me,... happy birthday"
What do you know
