Darling, Come With Me
Darling, come with me.
Come with me when I run,
Run with me, fast, for the freedom we deserve.
Say you’re beside me,
And stay there beside me,
Keep the faith, keep the pace and keep going.
We’ll grow like wildflowers from wildfire
When our feet touch the floor.
Darling, adored one,
We’ll start a path of our own
When we bow out gracefully, walk away, just go.
Heaven knows I’m counting down carefully
To that day which can’t come quick enough.
When those who would stop us, hold us back, break us,
Will have nothing to hold but the dust left behind us.
