Darkness's Soldiers
This beach is a peaceful place,
where no tropical birds are seen
besides a few old palm trees;
and their branches bring in a cool breeze
towards twilight as seagulls doze off...
and they are afraid of shadows
that only owls and crickets love!
Could these frightening and unfriendly creatures...
be darkness's soldiers to keep Nature at peace?
