Darkness VS Light is the fight

Always in a blacked out state
Never knowing what's real or what's not
Always blurred due to medication
Is this now my new station?

Holding on to who knows what
Crying as I'm the one time forgot
Seeing things that arnt even there
Sat still as I sit and stare

No enjoyment from music or TV
Everything is alien to me
Waiting for the medication to work
But all this waiting is making me berserk

Patchy days and nights have unfolded
The seat I'm sat on has become moulded
What is real and what is fake?
Will a blade to my arm shock me awake

Lost in mania with delusions to boot
Medicine not working, no joy to persue
Shaking before my black out comes
5 minutes of peace while I twiddle my thumbs

It's so lonely being in my mind
And to be honest the happiness I cant find
All over body aches while the shadows keep score
How much more am I good for?

Brain waves acting in over drive
Neuro cells colliding- how am I alive?
Crying now and I can't stop
The ghost of bipolar here before I drop

Everything hurts, make it stop
Shadows please you've made your point
Voices in my head so loud
Yet I'm the one who feels out of the crowd

Bipolar mania is the worse
This is new and I'm not well versed
What's it going to take to stop
Will I be here, will I make the cut?

So onto another benzo I go
Might numb the noise, but who knows
The shadows and voices will come back
I just don't have the energy for their attack

So ill sit here quite as can be
Hopefully the shadows won't see me
Maybe the medication will work today
And mania and delusion will drift away

Until then though the pain I must endure
I'll be honest though, I can't take much more
Darkness or light is always the battle
But today I cant help but rattle

Darkness vs light with all my might
Darkness vs light is the fight
A blade to my arm to stop the pain
When will the shadows go away

Darkness vs light is the fight

This is so terribly sad Gogster DW. It is a great poem. I will pray for you to get better. In Jesus we trust to get through the dark times. The almighty lord wants you to hang on in there and it will get better
