Darkness Vs Light
"Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that." - Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
“Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that.”
I often wish to dwell in the light
But there are always those useless excuses
That allows me to lose insight
But I always end up with these endless bruises
“Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.”
I try to disregard the hate burning inside
But there are always those people who I don’t appreciate
Sometimes I just want to cower and hide
Away from the love that has transformed into impure hate
But someone will come out to stand up for what is truly ours
And, eventually love will prevail!
