Darkness of Night

In the wee hours when the night is dark
And shining full is Grandmother moon
When the sun is tucked away snugly
Not to rise up anytime soon

Hiding in the shadows
within the darkness of the night
live the creatures from our nightmares
the ones that can give you quite a fright

In the late night hours
the veil between worlds becomes very thin
This is when a witches rites
And ceremonial rituals begin

She will ask for guidance
to help on the journey that is life
Helping her get through the curves and bumps
During times of life’s chaos and strife

Look up into the heavens
And see the sparkling stars up above
Representing those passed who have on
Who are sending us their love

When you have to face the darkness
You really don’t need to be afraid
Just call upon the power of Grandmother moon
And she will quickly come to your aide.
