Alemseged's Symple
Created by Alemseged Sisay, Alemseged Style is a poetry style of six lines stanza with a rhyming pattern of ABCDAA. The stanza's number is not limited.
As the sun slowly sinks at night,
shapeless shadows morph into dusk.
While silhouettes silently merge,
summoning mosquitoes and bats.
And attracted by dusk's low light,
the creatures of the night take flight.
Luna rises into the sky,
taking Her place in the heavens.
And the Milky Way spills its light
across the emptiness of space.
Divinely placed, stars mystify,
and at the same time beautify.
Sol bleeds at the birth of each day
inking ebony skies crimson.
Tinting clouds cotton-candy pink,
Dawn pierces the heart of the night.
And leaves darkness in disarray
as shifting shadows slip away.
