Darkness Falls

Why is it so dark tonight?
No moon no twinkling light,
Is because I will never hold
You in my arms so tight

Without the shinning moon,
In the night time sky,
How can the owls see?
When in the night they fly?

Why is it so lonely now?
In the dead of night,
When it so pitch black,
That it takes my sight.

Could it be because of you?
You gentle touch withdrawn,
Never to sleep true again,
Until the break of dawn.

When the light of day appears,
Weak like a sick flower,
Not warming me up any,
Even at the noon time hour.

Can I regain the light again?
Day and Night time too,
Can I get anything back?
Without the love of you?
