Darkness and Lies

There’s a tainted silence
Some poisoned empty words
A shadow throwing violence
We are in different worlds

I’m listening to anger
Your lips are out of time
It wouldn’t matter if I’m a stranger
But you need to realise

You’re living in this darkness
It swallows up your lies
You’ve never heard this sickness
Now you’re living in your lies

To know my words can never help you
They can only make it worse
The darkness hides in me too
At least I see this ancient curse

We’re living in this darkness
It’s swallowing our eyes
I know the way to cure us
Free this world of our lies

There’s nothing but light forsaken
There’s nothing but darkness now
As we stand here with our make-up
Our lies must soon burn out
