Darkest Of Days

I stared in to the void, And that void stared back, I saw all I knew, destroyed, My eyes fade to black. I saw all of my pain and strife, A gun sitting on a lonely table, I prepared to take my life, I found I was unable. I guess I live with all of this, Failure, heartbreak, a void in my heart, A part of me now it is, Though I fear it's been with me from the start. I stared in to the void. And it crept in to my soul. My eyes now devoid, Alone, never to be whole.
