Darkened Days and Moonlight Awakened

Bitter cold fills the night
the days have been dreary
madness sinks into flight
schedules have made me weary

twilight has become my sunset
stress has entered in
how do I retreat back to beget
what will become of me I pen

return oh days without slumber
and twilight with sleep uninterrupted
show him my existence is cumber
and that his faith in me will be instructed

collapsed I continue yearning
for my routine to come back again
to stop my stomach from churning
and to straighten out my life...Amen

Sometimes things get on top of us, Angela, and it effects our mood and reasoning. It is then that we need to meet the challenge and haul ourselves up from gloom and self pity. Faith will certainly give a helping hand. ~ Regards // paul

You have a unique style of poetry my friend - your imagination is fascinating - too much time on our hands makes us ponder more - routine I always beg for, it is only when my routine is interrupted that I am glad to get back to it. Great write Angela, Hugs, blessings, Jennifer. Hugs, Blessings, Jennifer.

Your poem is a prayer in itself. We all suffer from some form of melancholy. Someday all will be straightened again. ~~
