Dark Times

In the very darkest times

When things can seem so bleak

And you find yourself wondering

How you’ll get through the week

 In the very darkest times

When no one seems to care

It seems like you have lost your voice

As into space you stare

In the very darkest times

When you don’t know what to say

And minutes seem like hours

In a never -ending day

In the very darkest times

When you cannot seem to move on

You feel like you are sinking

Weighed down, and all alone

Just try to remember

a new day will surely dawn

Bringing with it new light

And hope can be reborn

And though it might not seem like it

Lots of people care

So, call a friend or loved one

And make sure they are aware

For a problem shared with others

May cut its weight in half

And before you even know it

You can smile again and laugh
