Dark Things

The wild things exist
That's why we live in big houses
In small towns.
Or small houses in big towns.

Wild things follow us home.

Monsters live not far
from our imaginations,
Some live in closets;
some under the bed.

Unknown things lurk in shadows.

Stay out of the dark forest beyond the back fence,
Never walk a moonlit path,
Ancient light makes dark things darker~
Owl Man, Wolf Man, Ghost Man, Dog Man~

The darkest thing of all is a human with evil in his mind.
