Dark Summers Day

She’s in my head
And won’t go away
It’s just like that
Dark summer’s day

Who knew what she had
Was sweeter than this
Her lips were more tempting
That the devils kiss

I needed her more
Than anyone else
But here in the moment
She showed me myself

I was weak
And gave into fear
I’d hold anyone close
If they called me dear

Time goes by
And I break away
Just like tonight
A dark summer’s day

With cold in my heart
And fear in my breath
I thought the end
I thought nothing left

I then realize
I thought to wrong
For now my summer
Has a new song

She gives me warmth
She brightens my day
She shows me the path
And she leads the way

She knew I was weak
So she made me strong
She showed me right
When I only knew wrong

My days are now bright
My days are now warm
Because she’s my sunshine
That I hold in my arms
