Dark Skies

The sky grows dark
 deep purple grays
 filled and overflowing with rage,
sliding passed the sun
b]ocking out the hope of light
waiting patient, for the day to be done.
Distant rumbles humble us
 lightning flashes blinding eyes
 and then the rain, released
brushing quickly by
 ready to welcome
 the return of the son.
