Dark Sea

I started my voyage with no plan in mind
I just wanted to sail far away into another time
I kept on sailing until I was far from shore
to find peace and quiet, maybe, another world

Now I'm sailing out in a sea of darkness,
all alone on this forsaken voyage
I know not where my ship will go
I'm hoping soon to reach dry land

Maybe this voyage is a reflection of my life,
lost and alone with no hope in sight
Surely my life is worth much more
I hope to find the answer on a distant shore

Until such time my ship alit, I'll keep sailing
on the dark sea of life
