Dark Moments

As she sat parked outside
She nearly broke down and cried
Composing herself for her early morning appointment
She wondered what it all had meant

Approaching the screaming mobs
She again broke down, but this time in sobs
The Lord was touching her heart
At its inner most deepest part

Being pulled left and then right
It almost felt like she was in the fight
But it wasn’t her they were here to see
For all along they’ve been praying for that little baby

Reaching for the handle on the door
Her heart could no longer take any more
As her baby gave her just one more kick
Those final minutes began to tick

Her stomach began to churn
As they said miss, it is your turn
Unable to stand
The receptionist repeated her demand

And then rising up on her own
For that they prayed for her too had become known
Walking out past the right and left wing, a big smile on her face
For she knew she had something, something she could NEVER replace
