Notes About The Poem

Eleven senselessly slaughtered in a synogague in Pittsburgh this week...

Dark As Night

Scorn from the Left
Hate on the Right
   Anti-Semitism
   Dark as Night

The shots rang out
The worshipers fell
   Hate's prayer answered
   By a Devil from hell

Pittsburgh was tragic
But its lone death knell
   Doesn't compare
   To life in Israel

Where 24/7
It's bombs away
   Innocent civilians
   Terrorism's prey

Hate on the Left
Scorn from the Right
   Anti-Semitism
   Humanity's Blight

Your verses are as potent as they poignant, my dear friend. I will never understand the perpetuation of hate and my heart aches for its victims. Powerful and pointed penning, Gershon. Warmest wishes always.. ~Susan

Violence is coming at us from all angles, such a sad hateful world we live in today. Tom.

Potent penning. We are not well as a civilization. "The world is wild at heart and weird on top." Hugs my friend. xomo

Well-put, i.e., that 'we are not well.' That about sums things up. Thank you for your observation, my dear friend. :) gw
