Dare To Think That You Are Not Wanted

Simple things can catch my eye because beneath all that simplicity is, more often not, a colliding symphony of complications. That's what you make me think of. You make me think of ways to say "How was your day" and "you are lovely to me" and "please, allow me to know you more than this". You make me think of vulnerability. Someone patiently waiting to be found and wanted. I can't promise to want you and you can't promise to want me. But I'd like the chance to step into your world, learn the way you breathe, and elegantly scrawl your dreams into a journal dedicated just to my myriad of thoughts for/of you. You spark curiosity within me. Desiring to know the roads you've walked and the doors you have firmly shut behind you. I want to line my demons up with yours. See if they can't learn to play well together. I'm fascinated by the way you speak, your inability to properly convey your thoughts brings me to wonder what exactly it is that you want to explain. I want to follow your dreams like roadmaps to your mind. Caress my hand against the doors of your heart and imagine that they'll open with a few softly whispered words. This is nothing more than the rambling thoughts of a poet enamored with your eyes. I fancy the thought of where we could and how we could grow together. Take my words and toss them away or cradle then fondly against your heart, it matters not to me. But now you can never say that you were never wanted.

Damn right! You essentially took the phrase, "Don't know what you got until it's gone", and flipped it on its head! This was deeply expressed & unfiltered. Wonderful job. Great to meet you, Colleen!
