Danny the Dancing Dragon

Danny Dragon learned to dance the Samba, then he wanted to learn the Rhumba, the Hustle, Jitterbug and Boogie Woogie, with his little friend Salugi. All day and night they’d shake and shimmy, oh, Danny and Salugi often got quite giddy; giggling and wiggling across the dance floor and I can say I was never, ever bored. Then Danny got the competition fever, as far as winning he was a believer. I entered him in three or four they literally danced from door to door! Winning trophies and even money, Salugi became quite a charming honey. They’d spin and two-step all day long I got my guitar and played a few songs. Three hundred twenty competitions later, Danny took the trophy from Albert Alligator. in two years time, they’d won thousands of dollars and Danny bought Salugi a diamond collar. He bought himself a new Mercedes, it made him a magnet for all the ladies. Danny and Salugi became quite famous and now they’ve their own show in Vegas!

Love the story, M.L., but I love stories of Dragons. If you have any stories of dragons I would like to put them in the ‘Nursery Rhymes & Stories from Poets Around the World’ book. I've started the painting cover for the book and I have a dragon in the air.. Hugs Eve

You have a wonderful story. M.L., it should have scored high, but you forgot to put Nursery Rhyme in your title. I felt this should be read by others. Congratulations on your win. Hugs Eve

Singing nursery rhymes and songs to children as young as babies can help develop their language and communication skills from an early age. Come visit me in my blog for "Idea" Nursery Rhyme 4 - Eve Roper's Blog (poetrysoup.com) Hugs Eve

Why must you tease me like this? You know I am heading to Vegas now to catch their show! This stanza really got me! "All day and night they’d shake and shimmy, oh, Danny and Salugi often got quite giddy; giggling and wiggling across the dance floor and I can say I was never, ever bored. " Great word play!
