Dancing With Your Ghost

POEM " DANCING WITH YOUR GHOST " by Martin Gedge

Under star and summer night
through slip of dark and shadow light
in veils of ghost and silky white
onto my skin with ease
you seek of souls beyond this room
for heaven holds each open wound
to fill with love and garden bloom
your whisper in the trees
for sight has dried my rainy eye
in flock of doves that fill the sky
to be my madame butterfly
and rest upon my wings
for round and round we to and fro
like fireflies in moonlit glow
to dance on air and twinkle toe
of all my heart she brings
a passion still to beat my door
for love not dies but evermore
to live and breathe the very core
this fire that burns your name
and to my lips your sweet of kiss
as smooth as creme and scent of mist
to lead onto eternal bliss
the keeper of the flame...
